Arene Candide, princes and princesses

Arene Candide, princes and princesses

Tuesday, April 14, 2026, 6:30 PM

Elisa Bianchi is an archaeologist specializing in prehistory; her research integrates techno-typological analyses and contextual studies to reconstruct the cultural and settlement dynamics of ancient communities.
He worked on the symbolic evidence of the European Paleolithic, such as the Arene Candide engravings, contributing to a critical and updated reading of prehistoric societies.
Elisa Bianchi will guide us on a fascinating journey to the Arene Candide site, one of the most important in Europe for the study of the Paleolithic.

Starting from the famous “burial of the Prince”—a tomb extraordinary in its richness and symbolism—and the discovery of the statuettes, the conference “Arene Candide, princes and princesses” challenges the most traditional interpretations.
An accessible and engaging tale that invites us to look at prehistory with new eyes, exploring archaeology, symbols, and stories yet to be rewritten.
